my break has been really good so far. sabri has been home forever and thats awesome, daniel's suprise party!, i went to a magic game, i saw the spongebob movie and ate at Latin Quarter, and we celebrated Thanksgiving today!
my dad was oncall yesterday so we had the big feast tonight. we had loottss of family friends come over and it was so fun. sabri and i prepared the whole dinner for the 2nd year in a row and i would have to say, it was a success. we have enough left-overs for the rest of the year though!
so for real Thanksgiving, my mom, my sister and i went to citywalk and ate at latin quarter then saw the spongebob movie.
tomorrow... the car show!! :D

I love it how it takes lj 20 minutes to load every time i actually want to update. usually I just close out of it and forget about updating but this time I was really in the mood so i decided to wait. and you'll see, reading this will be so worth it.
so I just finished watching a movie called Good Bye Lenin! with my dad and it was superb. it's a German film (subtitled of course) that was just so good. I've never watched a foreign film that wasn't solely historical and I was pleasantly surprised. it was really long though, but thats okay.
now on to the big time news...
well.
i started karate!!
i know, little lauren taking karate?
that is correct.
i took my first class today and it was amazing.
i love it.
like seriously, it's so much fun.
my dad and i are taking classes together because he's big into that martial arts thing. (at least he wants/tries to be)
so yeah, that's my news and i hope you enjoyed it. i'll keep you posted on my status because obviously i'm going to become a black belt. haha

so my friday consisted of: yearbook party, michael's, a nap, ross, borders, and CHEESECAKE. i bought a book at borders and im excited to read it, if i ever get a chance.
it's been a week today. :`(. ive been a mess, rude, selfish, quiet, and distant, and im sorry. i really need to see my grandpa, like right now.

my weekends have been good lately.
i got to see sarah wish, i went to the bay hill invitational with my mom, there was john mayer!, sonali's little duke party, and a movie every night last weekend.
everything is fine right now and i am content. life is just peachy.

after an amazing week in park city, i am home. im kind of glad to be back, but not really. i love breaks from school, people, and worries. out of all my family skiing trips i would have to say this one was the best. there was no fighting or arguing just getting along and having a wonderful time. i love my family more than anything and spending time with them is priceless. i realized a few things over this trip. 1-family time is quite relaxing and much needed. 2-going to chinese restaurants with waiters who dont understand english is funnny. then your dad getting a fortune cookie at the end saying: smile if you like this fortune cookie just tops off the night. 3-my father is sooo intelligent. i dont remember the last time i asked him a question and he didnt know the answer. he reads books like i consume chocolate. he knew what zeitgeist meant off the top of his head. and the list goes on..hes just incredible. 4-im going to miss sabri more than anything. o god, i just dont want her to leave. 5-and that i looove peanut butter.
overall, the best trip in a while.
o yea, and i like being out of the loop sometimes.

well last night was the 80s dance which was about the most fun dance of the year. everybody looked fabulous with their cut-off shirts, side ponytails, and spandex. a few people made some special appearances (my favorite being birdie and walker of course). after the dance neha and kelli slept over to end off a wonderful evening.
